Ridgecrest students hard at work on their pottery project for Heritage Day. Today we had Beekeepers, Bluegrass musicians, Bagpipes, Wood Turners and more on campus for Heritage day. Fun was had by all!
HOW WE MADE A COIL POT…
We started with a ball of white model magic clay…
We rolled it into a slab and colored it brown with a marker…
We rolled it, smushed, and stretched it until the clay changed colors…
Then we used a circle template to create a circular base…
We we rolled some coils and started building up the walls….
We added designs and some people added faces (face jugs) to their pottery !
